Serus Legal/Support Legal US assisted Haranga Resources (HAR), an Africa-focused junior explorer, on the local aspects of its admission to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).

The listing follows the successful public offering which raised USD 6.5 million. With gold assets in Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, and a uranium project in Senegal, the funding will allow Haranga to accelerate the development of its African mining operations.

Working out of the US and Australia, the Serus Legal team engaged its network of local counsels to complete a detailed legal review of the various assets and companies to be acquired. The finalized review cleared the path for the ASX listing of parent company Haranga Resources.

Peter Youd, Executive Charman of Haranga, said: “Serus Legal’s assistance allowed us to promptly complete our readmission to the ASX. Their expertise and network of local lawyers were a great asset to the transaction. We look forward to working with Serus Legal further as we move to develop these exciting projects.”

Peter Finan, Principal at Serus Legal, said: ” We are delighted to have played a part in facilitating such a positive outcome for Haranga. In working bilingually across three African countries, our team managed a delicate balancing act to ensure a timely completion. The file represents one of our most important mining transactions of the past year.”

Serus Legal’s team was led by Peter Finan (New York) and Marc Montandon (Perth), supported by local teams headed by Aboubacar Fall (Senegal), Patricia Sawadogo (Burkina Faso), and Francky Lukanda (Côte d’Ivoire).
